Edition #2 Simple Joint Protection
Hi This is David Perez with Full Function Fitness,
Most joint protection doesn't happen in the gym — it happens in the small moments throughout your day.
This week: Sit-to-Stand Practice
Every time you get up from a chair, try doing it without using your hands. Lower yourself back down slowly — take 3–5 seconds on the way down. That's it.
Why it matters: This simple movement builds strength in your quads, glutes, and stabilizing muscles around the knee and hip — the exact muscles that protect your joints during everyday life. If you have a knee or hip replacement, go at your own pace and only as far as feels comfortable.
Do it every time you sit down today. That might be 10–15 reps without even trying.
Small things, done consistently, add up to big changes.
Warmly, David Full Function Fitness www.fullfunctionfitness.net
